On January 26, 2020, Sunday I went to school for ACT's Family Day 2020. I arrived at school somewhere around 11:26 am, after walking around a bit i decided to take a short nap in the classroom. To be honest this year's family wasn't as exciting for me as it was last year, after all, last year most of my friends were here as well as visitors. My parents weren't able to go too since they had a Sunday Arabic Class to teach.
At somewhere between 11-12 I helped out Ms. Mitch with decorating our booth, it was strange that we decorated with balloons and streamers, considering that this year's family day theme was tribal, but then again, we complained a lot about payment so it makes sense that they were working with a tight budget. For some reason I decided to take a nap in the booth and when I woke up there was a mass, since I was still half-asleep I think, I also stood up with everybody else during the mass. I asked " Where's Lexi and the others?" and Kylee just looked at me surprised and said " Maki they're in the classroom with the other non-catholics, why aren't you there?!" realizing this, I ran to the classroom and waited it out. While the other dances were happening I stayed in the classroom with some of the other girls. I was mostly just sitting down or drawing, occasionally just lying down inside the long table shelves or what I like to call "shelf bed". Unsurprisingly, since the shelf bed was used so often by a lot of different people, it was the cleanest part of our classroom.
After while, we were called back down and I helped out with putting the tribal makeup thingies on people. I was running around back and forth from the classroom to the booth because girls were still staying at the classroom while most of the people had already went down. Before our family day dance, the dance club girls had to dance a Lilo and Stitch inspired dance but forgot about it and missed their chance as the music played, they were a bit panicked since they missed it, but calmed down after realizing that Ms. Aubrey, the MAPEH teacher, Dance Club Moderator and dance instructor wasn't there.
After the dance, I went back to classroom, changed my shirt and identity and took a nap in the shelf bed. I couldn't sleep because friends were there and I'm a codependent, socially-anxious big ball of insecurity who laughs off insults because weakness means no friends. But anyway, Schon kept asking me to draw Belle Delphine but I couldn't since I didn't have a reference photo and I pretty much forgot what Belle Delphine looked like. It was night time and all I did was stay in the classroom and slept. Since I was allowed to go home already, I just called my dad and went home and that was it. I forgot to take pictures but then again, there wasn't much to take since I was mostly asleep. I'm sleepy.
